Pursuant to 105 CMR 590.000, a Bed and Breakfast whether serving full or continental breakfast is defined as a Residential Kitchen and shall require a Food Service Establishment Permit from the Northampton Health Department. Residential Kitchens are mandated to comply with the minimum requirements of specific provisions set forth in the 105 CMR 590.000. Minimum requirements include 105 CMR 590.009 (D)as well as CMR 590.010 through 590.021. Owners of a Bed and Breakfast Establishment are required to apply for Northampton Health Department Food Service Establishment Permit and shall be inspected prior to the issuance of a permit.
