Subject: Parking of vehicles in open space, violation of Special
Permit granted October 4 , 1989
Dear Mr. Jourdain,
Our office has received a complaint from the Northampton Industrial
Park that you are in violation of the Special Permit that was
granted you on October 4, 1989. The complaint is that you are in
violation of the open space requirements and are using that open
space for parking automobiles and other vehicles. The site plan
that you submitted on July 24, 1989 and was approved by the Zoning
Board clearly shows the areas that were to remain open space.
I made a site visit on March 21 ( copies of photos enclosed) and
found that you are in violation of the open space requirements that
were approved by the Zoning board on October 4 , 1989 by parking
vehicles within the areas designated for open space.
You have thirty days (30) in which to remove the cars from those
areas. If after thirty days the cars are not removed you could face
court action and or fines of $100 per day for every day the
violation continues. You may appeal this decision to the Zoning
Board of Appeals or seek to modify your Special Permit to allow you
to store vehicles within the areas defined as open space.
If you have any questions please contact me at 586-6950 ext. 240.
Sincerely,
.,,..?"-
