Dear Mr, Olen,
Regulation 31 of Article II of the State Sanitary Code states that 'Avery
occupant of a dwelling, dwelling unit, or rooming unit shall gilt the owner,
or his agent or employees, upon reasonable notice, reasonable access, if
possible by appointment, to the dwelling, dwelling unit, or rooming emit for
the purpose of making such repairs or alterations as are necessary to effect
compliance with the provisions of thee* minium standards.'
The cockroach extermination procedures used by the Northampton Housing
Authority are in line with standard cockroach extermination practices.
Therefore it is your responsibility, given reasonable notice, to allow the
Housing Authority to enter your dwelling and carry out such extermination as
is required to eliminate this problem which immediately effects the health and
well being Cf all the tenants in your building,
nu Housing Authority has scheduled the next spraying of Building W on Wed-
nesday, October 21, 1981.
You are hereby ordered by the Board of Health to allow them access to your
apartment at that time for purpose of oockroach extermination.
Failure to comply with this order will result in further legal action being
takes against you to effect compliance.
