PE WILLIAM R.GARRITY, LA On March 10, 1981, this office performed deep hole and percolation tests on your lots 1, 2, 3,4 , 5, 7 ,8, and 9 , Audubon Road, Northampton. These lots are described in a Plan of Land drawn by this office and dated February 12,1981. Percolation rates on all eight lots were within the requirements of Title V, State Environmental Code, revised 1977. Enclosed are copies of the soil logs and percolation rates for each lot. Mr. Robert Langdon, Plumbing and Gas Fitting Inspector for the City of Northampton, observed the deep holes and found them to be suitable for the installation of subsurface sewage disposal systems according to the requirements of Title V, State Environmental Code, revised 1977. If you have any questions regarding these tests, or require further information, please feel free to contact this office at your convenience. Enc. Male Associates, Inc. and witnessed by yourself. Three parcels were tested: Map #4, Parcel #5 (Audubon Rd.) has soils suitable for subsur- face disposal ledge, which occurs at a depth of 96 to 104 inches. The percolation rate for the area tested is 5.67 minutes per inch, which indicates a system design rate of 6.0 minutes per inch. No groundwater was observed. Map #44, Parcel #3 (Rt.66) has suitable soils to ledge, which occurs at a depth of 96 inches. The percolation rate for the area testd is 1.17 minutes per inch, which indicates a system design rate of 2.0 minutes per inch. No groundwater was observed. Map #44, Parcel #8 (Rt.66) has suitable soils to ledge, which occurs between 96 to 120 inches. The percolation rate for the area tested is 6.67 minutes per inch, which indicates a system design rate of 8.0 min/in. Groundwater was observed at 84" in one pit, and 96" in the other. As far as could be determined, there are no conditions (slope, wetlands, streams) which would constrain the existence or location of a septic system on any of the sites tested.
