I do not think Mike hes thee ahiti:, clean ep after himsel f Last winter I left a large shopping bag on his door, containing 6 pairs of new underpants, a couple of towels and wash cloths (hoping he would bathe more often) also 4 large rolls of toilet paper, a pack of cigarettes, and 2 rolls of PAPER TOWELS PLUS CLEANING FLUID! Oh, and some t shirts and a flashlight. He took most of the stuff, but the paper towels and cleaning fluid were left on the floor in the middle of the hallway! Hows that for a slap in the face? Mike is unable to use a manual can opener because his hands are too weak. He is not able to cook for himself, only to heat up food from convenience stores in the microwave. He really needs to be in some type of a nursing care home, and I do not understand why he was dropped off here one Thursday night last fall with nothing, not even a pillow and a blanket, when he came here DIRECTLY from the VA HOSPITAL! The VA in Massachusetts operate a iot A 1.01 of residential alcohol treatment programs, one very nice one is right in Florence.Ste. and ice is often no waiting list. They have private rooms, nurses-doctors, great food, a bowling alley, and their own van to take them all over the state to AA meetings. Much better than the programs for non veterans! Then there are the 2 Soldiers homes. 'Chen there are numerous residential housing places all over the state, just for Veterans. Mike has severe liver damage. nerve damage and brain damage as a direct result of alcohol, poor nutrition, and poor hygiene and self care skills. So did the VA social worker lie about his condition in order to "dump" him in a room, as social workers very often do? Or did he refuse to go into one of them. preferring to live somewhere where he could drink? I am sorry, I do not like to hate to do this. and others who live here are also afraid that HAP/Home City Housing will retaliate if they complain. But I have copies of these pictures. and other residents have also taken pictures, and if we have to we will go to the board of health. thank You Judy Barry gni rt. c5 BOARD OF HEALTH CITY HALL COMPLAINT RECORD Cf - 2-0l3 0000%S/ Date: 1p /2L/17j Time: g: o c I GEO: Type: tidois-,.
