Electrical fire at East Heaven Hot Tubs producing smoke in adjacent building
(Bistor Les Gras). Health Department contacted to decide possible food
contamination from smoke.
Immediate response actions:
-Received situation briefing by Fire Department (Bill Hurley)
-With Smith College public safety and Louis Hasbrouck inspected basement of
Bistro Les Gras.
-No food contamination issue present.
-Discussed re-opening procedures with owner of East Heaven Hot Tubs (told to
contact health department in the morning).
-Called owner of Bistro Les Gras to schedule an inspection prior to re-opening.
Owner said they will re-open on 8-27-10.
Follow-u response actions:
-Aimee Petrosky met with East Heaven Hot Tubs owner on 8-26-10 to confirm hot
tubs in working order. Ok to operate.
-Aimee Petrosky conducted inspection of Bistro Les Gras on 8-27-10. Ok to
operate.
