Based upon the site inspection that you conducted December 14, 1987 at 2:15 P.M. , it is Mr. Mock's understanding that he is allowed to use the holding tank for a six month period. During the six month period, Mr. Mock also understands that he is to exercise due diligence in connecting to the Northampton City Sewer System. To this end, Mr. Mock has narrowed his choice of engineers to two. Mr. Mock will review written proposals from the engineers. Be is hopeful that a selection will be made by the end of December, 1987. It is under- stood that this tank will be used only until the building is connected to city sew- er line. The Board of Health herewith grants permission for the use of the holding tank sub- ject to the following conditions : 1. This permission will expire on June 30, 1988. 2. The holding tank will be pumped periodically by a licesed sewage pumper in order to prevent the overflow of effluent. 3. You will have plans prepared and obtain city and state permits for the con- nection of your building to city sewer. 4. You will connect your building to city sewer on or before June 30, 1988. Please note that failure to connect your building to city sewer by the June 30, 1988, deadline will result in the Board of Health recommending that the city Building Inspector rescind the occupancy permit for your building. Mock ! 1::0-104 Danrji Road Northampton, Ma. Drawing 488-042 The plan' .propo- installation of one pre cast concrete sewage pumping . station with dupleg SK-60 Hydr-O-Matic pumps. Individual pump capacity is 60 GPM. Total daily flow received by the pump station is estimated to be 1100 GPD. The pimp station will discharge to a 3" diameter force main which will subsequently discharge to an existing privately awned 6 force main which empties into the Northampton gravity sewer collection system. The Department finds the pump station has been designed in accord with good engineering practice. Prior to granting final approval- of this pump station, the following information crust be submitted to this office: 1. A document must be provided to the Department, in which Richard Boyle, the oaner of the existing force main agrees to permit the proposed connection. 2. The pump station owner must provide one• copy of a contract in which a licensed wasterwater treatment facility operator is hired to Operate, maintain and inspect the proposed pump station. This connection to sewer was originally to have been completed by June 30, 1988, but the deadline was extended due to difficulties in gaining access to the adjacent private sewer. William Mock for a sewer connection at 100-104 Damon Road. This request has been pending for quite some time and the Board of Health and Mr . Mock are anxious to complete this work. The attached plan and documents reflect plan revisions and additional information which had been requested by the former Director of Public Works, Paul 0. Hadsel . All areas of concern have been addressed . The agreement between Mr. Mock and Mr . Boyle shall be consummated once all necessary approvals have been acquired, since a cash payment to Mr .
