Dear Brian,
The Leeds Civic Association (LCA) eagerly supports the Office of Planning and
Sustainability’s application for CPA funds to extend the rail trail in Leeds from where it
ends now up to the Haydenville town line. We are very hopeful that this action will
encourage the Town of Williamsburg to work on obtaining the next section to the
north.
We strongly encourage you to look favorably on this application. This would be the
next step in restoring the route of the old “Burgy Bullet” R.R. Line which connected
Northampton and Williamsburg from 1868 to 1962.
