SUBJECT: Building Permits For Tacy Property/Main St. , Leeds

I just received the note of your telephone call, and talked
to Lynn, regarding the issuance of additional permits for the
Tacy lot on Main Street in Leeds.'
What I told Lynn, which I am herein putting in writing, is
that my best advice, counsel and recommendation to you is that
prior to the issuance of any more permits for this property, or
for any other property, they should be reviewed at our Wednesday
morning permit review sessions. We met just this morning and
� this issue never came up. If the Tacy's waited until the last
minute (after 10:30 this morning when our review meeting
adjourned) to apply for their permit and too late to have it `
reviewed and issued in time, than the responsiblity for the poor j
planning rests with them, not the city. It seems to me to be a
little presumptuous on the Tacy' s part that they would wait until
the day that the structure was to be shipped to apply for any
r permits. They will just have to wait until after next weeks
review session for an answer.
It appears that there may be' a number of Zoning issues that
Vhave to be addressed. At next Wednesdays review session we can
all thoroughly review the application, giving it a complete and
comprehensive review, and determine any and all permits and
approvals that are required for this project. That is the exact
purpose of these meetings.
