At a meeting held on October 17, 1990, the Zoning Board of
Appeals of the City of Northampton voted unanimously to GRANT
the request of Ronald G. White for a Special Permit under the
Provisions of Section 11. 11 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City
of Northampton, to allow him to conduct a home occupation,
specialty printing and diemaking, at his home at > » North Main
et. Flom Present and voting were Chairman Robert C.
Busc er, Robert Reckman, and M. Sanford Weil, Jr.
The Findings were as follows:
1. The use is listed in Section 11. 11 of the Zoning as
requiring a Special Permit.
2 . The use bears a positive relationship to the public
convenience or welfare. it is an activity that can be carried
on in the home without adverse effect to the neighborhood.
3 . The requested use will not create undue traffic
congestion if UPS deliveries are made to the Bardwell Street
access to the White residence, nor will it unduly impair
pedestrian safety.
4 . The requested use will not overload any municipal

"N 5. The requested use will not unduly impair the integrity
or character of the district. The use will be carried on
solely within the home. This is not a manufacturing use, but
a craft or possibly even an art. The neighborhood will not be
aware of its existence.
