Please find enclosed a beam calculation sheet for the modified landing beam in Stair!#4 .
The beam is actually a W 12 x 14. T have used the section modulus of a W8 x 13 for
calculation purposes. I have also used a loading on the beam of 1.50 PSF, well above the
actual loading. Total calculated deflection is .04" over 8'-0". Total allowed deflection for
8'-0" is .27". As you can see, we are well under the acceptable limit. If you have any
