VIA 41 DECISION OF THE ,( ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS The Zoning Board of Appeals for the City of Northampton met on September 2, 1981_and unanimously voted to,._grant the petition of Wesley and Linda Rauch for a special permit to use a portion of their home at 20 Cloverdale reef for a home occupation. s' j Based upon the evidence presented to the Board, the Board made the follow- ing findings in regard to the special permit: 1. The proposed use is listed in the Table of Use Regulations. 2. The proposed use for a cleaning establishment bears a positive relationship to the public good in that small businesses are necessary so long as they do not create a 1 detrimental effect on the neighborhood. 3. The proposed use will not generate an increase in traffic because only an occasional truck will visit the home to deliver supplies. 4. The proposed use will not overload the public facilities since the use of the property will continue as a home, with no cleaning for clients carried on at the site. 5. The proposed use will not impair the character of the neighborhood nor derogate from the intent of the Zoning Ordinance because the home will primarily be used for residential purposes, with no more than a small amount of space devoted to an office and storage of a limited number of supplies. The special permit is however, granted subject to the following conditions: 1. that the special permit be granted for one year from the date the decision is filed in the City Clerk's Office; I 2. that no vehicle larger than n a van be used to deliver supplies to the site.
