(ECS) has completed an asbestos inspection of the gas station located at 310 Bridge Street in Northampton, Massachusetts for the presence of asbestos- containing materials(ACMS). 1.0 SUMMARY-ASBESTOS On February- 8, 2006 ECS personnel collected bulk samples of suspect building materials to determine the possible presence of asbestos. Access to the roof was not attained. Bulk samples were submitted to an accredited laboratory for asbestos identification by Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM). Laboratory testing results are enclosed with this letter report. There are six minerals grouped into the term "asbestos"_ Chrysotile, Amosite, and Crocidolite are asbestos minerals most commonly found in building materials. An ACM is defined as a material containing more than 1 percent asbestos. Exact sample types and compositions are enclosed with this letter. 2.0 CONCLUSIONS None of the materials collected contained asbestos.
