Dear Jay,
I made a mistake in not coming to you and your family,to tell you that I needed to move
my business to my house. I'm sorry. How can I make amends?
Business has been difficult in the last several years,and after two years of running in the
red, I knew I needed to lay off my employees and massively cut expenses,in order to
have an income at all. Because my clients depend on me,I decided to move my office
here.
I didn't think about how that decision would affect you. I talked with Terry Labato,and
received her gracious permission to have my clients park in front of her house. I asked
them not to park in your parking lot,and I'm sorry if they have. I'm open four mornings
a week,from 6:30 to 11 A.M.on Monday,Wednesday and Friday,and I see two clients
on Saturday mornings,from about 8:45 to 9:30 A.M. There are also one to two clients
who come from 4:15 to 4:45 P.M. on Monday,Wednesday and Friday afternoons. In all,
there are only about 15 cars per day M-W-F,and I or 2 on Saturday. There is usually
only one car at a time,occasionally two,parked on the street.
Would you be willing to speak with me about this? My business is my livelihood,and I
so hope that we can come to an amicable arrangement.
In the meantime,I reached Paul Mardas(he owns the house across the street from you on
North Street),who gave me permission for my clients to park at the end of his driveway.
(I will also ask Betty Waldron.) No one lives in his house at this time,so there will be no
congestion.
