Plumbing;
Bathroom (see attached drawing) — Rough and finish plumbing to renovate
second floor bathroom in accordance with attached plan. Renovation to
include 3-piece fiberglass tub/shower combination with no-scald tub
shower valve. Installation of drop-in oval porcelain lavatory and
faucet, and relocation of toilet.
Relocate floor mounted heat register. Includes new ductwork
from bathroom, through first floor kitchen to basement. Ductwork
is to be installed in the pipe chase in the kitchen wall. Replace
water lines to bathroom sink. Remove existing bathtub and plumbing.
This work includes removing the lead traps from beneath the bathroom
floor used for the existing plumbing fixtures.
NOTE: The main 4" cast iron waste line is common to both apartments.
Both bathrooms share the same waste line. Judging by the condition
of the waste line that is visible in Apartment #5, it is possible
that the line below the floor connecting the two bathrooms may be in
need of repair as well.
Remove gas piping to gas clothes dryer in pantry, laundry connection
in kitchen, unused gas line adjacent to stove. A new gas stove
connection is also necessary.

Patch and skim walls and ceiling where necessary.
Second Floor Hallway;
Remove existing plaster and lath ceiling.
New framing to make ceiling flat.
Installation of new %" sheetrock ceiling
approx. 275 sq. ft.
Remove unused exposed gas piping from wall surfaces.
Strip plaster from rear hallway wall 9'-8". Sheetrock
over remaining wood lath with 3/8" Sheetrock.
Remove wood cover from above rear staircase and finish
top of '/Z walls with pine.
Patch existing plaster walls.

Remove water damaged ceiling panels. Replace panels
and wood mouldings 4' x 8' section, 1 3/4" x '/4" wood
battens.
Remove plaster from inside fireplace surround.
Remove stove thimble from chimney and brick opening.

Strip plaster from closet walls leaving lath.
Sheetrock over lath with 3/8" drywall.
Construct wood box over existing exposed ductwork
in closet.

NOTE: The wall behind the kitchen sink may have to
be opened to the studs to provide access for plumbing
repair. As the extent of plumbing waste line damage
is not known at present. To remove existing cabinetry
and sink, strip plaster and lath. Sheetrock wall alter
plumbing repairs have been completed. Quote for this
work does not include any alterations to existing wall
framing.

Window Replacement
