RE: Cardinal Way (Plantation at West Farms) Sewer Force Main
Dear Mr. Lapine:
As you are aware, the approval of the sewer force main for use within your development is dependent
upon a number of factors. This letter clarifies these factors as follows:
• Submittal and approval of all the piping, fittings, valves, pump(s) and other appurtenances
associated with the sewer force main.
• Written documentation from your engineer that the sewer force main successfully passed the
pressure test as proposed and discussed. Details of the test results are required.
• Written documentation from your engineer that all components of the approved force sewer
system has been installed in accordance with approved plans, submittals and manufacturers
recommendations.
• A visible red light indicating system problems/failure, shall be installed outside every structure
connected to the force main system. Said light shall be clearly visible from a vehicle traveling
on the adjacent roadway. This was discussed in a meeting with you last year and again last week
in the field.
• Attached is a copy of the proposed policy that the Board of Public Works is currently reviewing
for approval. The homeowner(s) should be made aware of this proposed policy as it may affect
their property in the future.
Once all the above has been documented, the DPW will allow for receipt of sanitary waste into the Burts
Pit Road sanitary system. If you have any questions, please feel free to call.
