On April 22, 2002, the Northampton Board of Health voted to approve your request for a waiver of
the septic system design regulation to allow the construction of a one (1) bedroom addition to your
existing three (3) bedroom dwelling at 59 Winterberry Lane, Florence. The design capacity of your
septic system is 531 gal /day which is more than the required disposal capacity for a four(4)
bedroom dwelling without a garbage disposal.
This waiver is based on your stated intention to remove the existing garbage disposal and to place a
restriction on your deed, at the Registry of Deeds, to prohibit the future installation of another
garbage disposal in your dwelling.
Once the deed restriction has been filed, please send a copy of the filing confirmation to the Board of
Health office for addition to your septic system records.

and to allow such homeowner to engage an individual for hire who does not possess a license,provided that the owner acts
as supervisor.CMR 780, Sixth Edition Section 108.3.5.1.
