CITY of NORTHAMPTON OFFICE of PLANNING and DEVELOPMENT
MEMORANDUM
TO: Bruce Palmer
FROM: Bob Pascucci
.NJl. 1310
SUBJECT: Sarah Creighton Appeal-Turkey Hill Road
OEP10F SUILDI INSP
DATE: July 16, 1990
FILE:
Attached is the DPW's response to my third request for
assistance. Larry, who is on vacation this week, tells me that the
DPW has aerial photos of the Turkey Hill area, taken prior to the
advent of zoning, which show a gravel operation being conducted on
both sides of the road. If this is the case, and he assures me
that it is, if you could get your hands on the photo and bring it
to this Wednesday's continuance of the Public Hearing, it would
probably be effective evidence that Valley Aggregates is in fact
grandfathered on the north side of the road, and the ZBA could make
a decision on Ms. Creighton's Appeal.

Dear Mr. Buscher:
The Department of Public Works has been requested to determine
the layout line of Turkey Hill Road in the vicinity of the Valley
Aggregate property. At the present time our Engineering Department
has a heavy workload due to ongoing construction projects and is not
able to take on additional work of surveying the layout line of Turkey
Hill Road. This request will take a considerable amount of research
and survey. This work could be scheduled by our Department in late
fall or early winter.
If this schedule will help you, please let me know.
Very truly yours,
Peter J. McNulty, Sr.
Acting Director of Public Works
