Dear Susan,
There are 2 unregistered vehicles on your property, visible from the street.
As stated in my letter of June 21, 2007, the City of Northampton Zoning Ordinance limits the
number of unregistered vehicles allowed on residential property and describes the requirements for
storing the unregistered vehicles that are permitted. Only two unregistered vehicles are allowed per
parcel of land in the city without a Special Permit from the Zoning Board of Appeals. The allowed
vehicles must be screened or covered so as not to be visible from the street.
Please make arrangements to have the unregistered vehicles stored in an appropriate manner. I
will visit your property on July 23, 2007 and if the violations have not been corrected, I will issue a
violation notice that can result in a fine of$100.00. This letter shall serve as notice of violation and
order in accordance with the City of Northampton Zoning Ordinance Chapter 350, section 4.8 (A).
Please call me if you have any questions, or if you need help disposing of vehicles. You may
contact me at the building department. Our telephone number is 587-1240 and our office hours are
Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, except that we close at 12:00 noon on Wednesdays.
