April. 16, 1980
Mr. Mitchell. Watras
45 Henry Street
Northampton, Ma, 01060
Dear Mr. Watrast
In answer to your letter dated April 8, 1980, I find the
the following:
#1 Hockanum Road
17 ttheebu g was existing prior to 19749 it would appear
to be a nonconforming structure, not subject to complaint.
#2 Ppnchon Meadow Road
The findings votll be the same as above.
#3 Henry Street
A structure is a. combination of materials assembled at a
fixed location. Settion 113.1 of the Mass. Building Code
- , requires a building permit for all structures , Farm use ,.
is allowed by Massachusetts General Laws, 40A, in all stones.
It is therefore my opinion that a building permit must be
obtained for all your structures, temporary or otherwise.
Lastly, your private property is easily viewable from public
property. Mr. Gormely is a trained, experienced professional
inspector, who would not violate any laws. I submit your final
arguments are unfounded.
Very truly yours,
Cecil 1. Clark
