Re: Fill at 25 Henry Street
Dear Mr. Paquette:
Recently the Northampton Conservation Commission received a cm plaint
that you have been bringing fill into your property at 25 Henry Street and
were progressively filling in a wetland to the rear of the lot.
At their meeting on January 25, 1982 the Ccmni.ssion determined that
the placing of fill on this portion of your lot (also identified as Parcel
311 on Sheet 32C of the Northampton Assessor's Maps) is "altering" and
"filling" of a "fresh-water wetland" area bordering cn a "creek", "stream",
"pond" or "land subject to flooding" as defined in the Regulations Under the
Wetland Protection Act, General Laws Chapter 131, 5ectiot1 40, and as such you
are requested to cease and desist from the placing of any more fill in this
area.
Should you desire to continue filling in this area you must first file
a Notice of Intent with the Conservation Ccinnission, copies of which are avail-
able in this office, after which the Cccnnission will hold a public hearing and
issue an Order of Conditions.
Should you have any questions please feel free to contact me at 586-6950
x263.
