AD1-1 SECTION 02050 DEMOLITION
1. 1.01 WORK INCLUDES:
a. Item A.7, add to end “MEP contractors to cut and make safe all items to
be removed. Demo contractor to remove. Electrical lamps and ballasts
shall be set aside for recycling.
b. Item A, add “13. remove fiberglass batts from attic floor (front wing) and
third floor ceiling (back wing).
c. Item B.1., add to end “Any new discoveries of asbestos within hidden
locations should be immediately brought to the attention of the Owner.
Owner shall abate expediently.”
2. 1.02 RELATED WORK: add “J. Section 06100 Rough Carpentry – cutting for
framing for lift and dormer by section 06100. Demo contractor removes
materials.
3. 1.06 SAFETY AND PROTECTION: Cover all sprinkler heads scheduled to
remain.
AD1-2 SECTION 07180 VAPOR AND AIR BARRIERS:
1. 1.04 QUALITY ASSURANCE: Item A regarding “Drainage Plane”, add the
following: “Contractor shall provide mock-up of house wrap installation around a
sample window and schedule an on-site review with architect and energy
consultant prior to beginning of work.” Refer to SK-5 through SK-10 for house
wrap details.
AD1-3 SECTION 07200 BUILDING INSULATION
1. 1.01 WORK INCLUDES: Add “G. Window Pockets”
2. 1.02 RELATED SECTIONS: Add “I. Section 08600 Wood Windows”
3. 3.01 PREPARATION AND APPLICATION BY LOCATION: add “Window
Pockets: Insulate weight pockets with either dense-packed cellulose or non-
expanding foam depending on constructability and depth of cavity.”

2. 3.05 SCHEDULE: Carry pricing for Option 1 in both the Offices and
Corridors. Provide Alternative Price for Option 2 in both cases. If there is a
significant difference in the price between Options 1 and 2 the Architect/Owner
will decide between the two and adjust contract accordingly.
AD1-8 SECTION 16000 ELECTRICAL
1. Section 2.12 Telecommunications. Change subsection 2.12(B) to read: “B.
Existing head end equipment, including fiber optic data and telephone equipment
mounted on existing backboard in basement shall be dismounted from wall during
demolition period and reinstalled.”
2. Section 2.12 Telecommunications. Change subsection 2.12(S)(1) to read: “1.
The contractor shall remove existing telecommunication outlets from throughout
the entire building.”
3. Section 2.13 Fire Alarm System. Change Subsection 2.13(A)(7) to read: “7. All
panels and peripheral devices shall be manufactured by Simplex shall display the
manufacturer's name on each component. Edwards System Technology
equipment shall also be considered.”
4. Section 2.13 Fire Alarm System. Change Subsection 2.13(B)(3) to read: “3.
Type MC cable listed for use in fire alarm applications shall be used throughout
the building. At the contractors option Conduit and thermoplastic jacketed fire
alarm cable may be exposed in the basement and attic levels, or run concealed in
occupied & common areas.”
5. Section 2.13 Fire Alarm System. Change Subsection 2.13(H) to read: “H. Voice
distribution home runs shall originate at new 110 blocks located at the basement
distribution point.
6. Section 2.13 Fire Alarm System. Add Subsection 2.13(I)(4) to read: “4. Provide
patch panels as required for termination of all data wiring at basement
demarcation point. Provide equipment manufactured be by Ortronics as listed
below, or approved equal.
a) Wall mounted data patch panels for Cat 6 cables shall be Rack Mount Clarity
6- 24 port patch panel #OR-PSD66U24HM, 48 port patch panel #OR-
PSD66U48HM and 96 port patch panel #OR-PSD66U96HM.
b) Rack Mount Data panels mounted at Telecom Backboard for Cat 6 cables
shall be Rack Mount Clarity 6- 24 port patch panel #OR-PSD66U24, 48 port
patch panel #OR-PSD66U48 and/or 96 port patch panel #OR-PSD66U96, as
required for termination of all telephone & data wiring.

AD1-11 DRAWING A1.0 BASEMENT PLAN
1. 1/A1.0: Add reference to sewer ejection tank per Drawing P2.0 and misc. new
tanks, new equipment and location of existing steam lines to remain in Room B04
per Drawing H2.0.
2. Clarification: Drawings call for new poly vapor barrier over the dirt floor of the
crawl space; there is no need to pour a slab in this area.

1. Revise new post location from intersection of grid lines 4C to 4C’. Refer to

2. In wall located between basement stair and corridor 100. Add (2) 3” conduit
risers in wall, running vertically from basement though floor above. Add note to
read: “provide (2) 3”conduit pathways from basement ceiling to attic to facilitate
installation of telephone & data systems”
3. Add general note to read: “each data outlet location shall feature a 4”square deep
box with single gang plaster ring, and two cat. 6 cables run to the basement
demarcation point.”
4. In the Lift Lobby, Change location of home run serving local and corridor
receptacles from the adjoining office to local receptacle. Delete wire to Adjoining
office 208 receptacles, these devices shall be supplied from separate home run.

5. In Office 208, located adjacent the lift lobby, Add Receptacles to the wall
adjoining Office 207 and the exterior wall centered between the windows. Add
2#12+#12G home run originating at PB2-14 to serve one receptacle. Add branch
circuit conductor to feed additional outlets in this office.
6. In Office 208, located adjacent the lift lobby, Add Tele/Data outlet to the exterior
wall, locate centered between the windows. Outside office 208, located under the
window, adjacent the lift entry door, Change Telephone outlet to a Tele/Data
outlet.
7. Add (2)Wireless Access Points. Locate one on column line 1, in copy room 103.
The second is located at column line C-4, in room adjoining corridor 100C1.

6. Add (2) Magnetic Hold Opens, to hallway doors entering to the central stairwell.
7. Add (2)Wireless Access Points. Locate one on column line 1, in hall 200C3. The
second is located at column line C, five feet horizontally from panelboard P2A.

preparation (scrape, sand) and painting, except where noted for new hardware or
other items listed in “comments”.
3. Door XA FRONT PORCH-FOYER: For clarification regarding hardware, the
existing door is 40 1/2" wide x 86 1/2" high x 2 3/8" thick.
4. Door 100-B BATHROOM-CORRIDOR: change height to 7’-0”.
