Dear Cecil:
I want to write and thank you for your help and assistance to me while
I served as the Hotel 's General Manager. The joys, burdens, and challenges
of administering the Hotel during the late June through early October
period were substantial and, to say the least, memorable. The issues were
made much easier to address because of your assistance, your efforts on
behalf of the Hotel/Tavern and your commitment to making the facility
successful.
The operations are improved dramatically and the business outlook is strong.
While there is still room for improvement, I am personally and professionally
pleased with the work and the results which we achieved together in a
short and intense period.
As I depart from the position as interim Manager and from my "summer sojourn"
in Northampton, I want you to know how strongly I remain committed to
the Hotel 's successful future. I also want you to know how appreciative
I am to you.
I welcome Mr. Lucie to the position of General Manager most enthusiastically.
His professional and personal talents and skills will be a major asset to
the facility, the staff, our patrons, and the many people throughout the
community, all of whom have been so helpful and supportive of the effort
to restore the Hotel and put it in an improved position in the marketplace.
The Hotel is a very special place with very special staff and friends.
Please accept my thanks and deep gratitude for your assistance and
friendship. With every good wish I remain,
Most cordially,
Joh T. Eller
