DECISION OF THE
ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS — /7,
I City At its meeting on .January 7. 1981. the Zoning Board of Appeals for the
of Northampton voted unanimously to grant the petition of Carol Hyde for
a special permit under the provisions of Section 9.3 of the Zoning Ordinance '
to add an apartment to a single family home on Smith Street_
Based upon the evidence presented to the Board, the Board made the follow-
ing findings in regard to the special permit:
1. The proposed use would not be substantially more detrimental
to the neighborhood than its previous use as a single family
dwelling, since the area has many multi-family units.
2. The proposed use will not create pedestrian or traffic prob-
lems.
{ 3. The proposed use will not overload the public facilities.
4. There is adequate parking space on the lot to accomodate four
cars as required by the Zoning Ordinance.
I i
5. There is more than adequate square footage in each apartment,
according to the plan submitted, to meet the requirements of
the Zoning Ordinance.
