Project Description 1. a. Work Description (use additional paper and/or provide plan(s) of work, if necessary): Installation of pedestrian boardwalks over wet areas within the Mineral Hills Conservation Area trail system. Boardwalks will be placed in wet areas where hikers are creating side diversion trails around muddy areas, widening trails and increasing erosion and disturbance. Boardwalks will be placed in two locations, sections 1 and 2 as shown on the map. Boardwalks will be pressure-treated 12' 2x8, placed lenthwise on 2' 6x6 supports sitting on the ground. A gap will be left between the 2x8s to allow light to reach the ground, and construction impacts will be limited only to carrying in and placement of the boards. A formal wetland delineation was not completed as part of the application, as installation will be limited to the cleared area of existing trails that were created by the previous property owner prior to the Commission's acquisition of the Area.
