As requested by the applicant, the festive banners shall not be advertising for any business but can include the Thornes name. 4. The permit shall be valid for three years from date of issue. FINDINGS: The Zoning Board issued the special permit for 3 festive banners (projecting) based upon the application materials submitted. The Board found the following criteria in section 7.2 M to be met: Signs are located only where they are otherwise permitted in the district; and (2) The Board of Appeals determined that the architecture of the building, is such that an additional sign would not detract from the character of the neighborhood and should be permitted in the public interest. The building contains many shops which conduct most of its business during the holiday seasont. (3) The Board of Appeals specified that the banner size be as submitted on the plans.
